Important Dates

• October 1st, 2026, at 11:59 pm: submission window closes.
• October 23rd, 2026, by 11:59 pm: all artists will be notified of our decision.
• (accepted artists only) November 6th, 2026, by 11:59 pm: the non-refundable $50 gallery deposit AND signed gallery contract are due.

It is FREE to APPLY. If an artist is offered a gallery show at Creative Flow Art Center, there is a non-refundable $50 gallery deposit.

Creative Flow Art Center is inviting regional artists to apply for solo, duo, or group shows in our gallery. We are a community art center, and our core philosophy is ‘process over product,’ and exhibiting a wide variety of artistic practices and disciplines, no matter the technical skill level or how long they have been creating art. Exhibition proposals may be submitted online until 11:59 pm on October 1, 2026. It is FREE to apply.

About Our Galleries

Creative Flow Art Center is the home to a beautiful gallery space. We have new exhibitions every 6 -8 weeks. Three of these exhibitions are Call for Entries, where we feature artworks from multiple artists at one time. In November and December we hold our annual holiday art market.

Eligibility

• You may apply as a solo artist or as a representative of a duo/group of artists.
• All mediums can apply, with the exception of digital/virtual art forms that require technological support to be displayed.
• Images created using A.I. will NOT be accepted.
• You do not need to be a ‘professional’ artist to apply. We are a community art center and exhibit a wide variety of artistic practices and disciplines no matter the skill level or how long they have been creating art. No prior solo show experience is required to apply.

Required Application Materials – Due by 11:59 pm on October 1st, 2026:

• Name, address, and phone number.
• An artist statement/bio (Maximum 1000 words)
• Written proposal of show. This includes the general theme/idea, medium of work shown, special installation needs, etc.
• 5 images of sample artwork

Photo Guidelines:

5 images of sample artwork – Due October 1st by 11:59 pm (part of the application form)

• You will upload the image(s) of your artwork in your application form. You MUST name each image file with your last name and first initial, entry number, and artwork title. (Example: BotticelliS_01_Venus, BotticelliS_02_Primavera)
• Please submit images as a JPEG or PNG file.
• Please submit well lit images featuring only the artwork.

Sales:
We require some of your art to be for sale. Creative Flow Art Center will take a 35% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the show. Please price your pieces accordingly.

Judging:

Creative Flow Art Center examines the overall cohesion of the submitted exhibitions, presentation, and compliance to the application guidelines.

Liability: 
All reasonable care will be taken with artwork. Creative Flow Art Center staff and volunteers cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to artwork including frames and mountings, no matter how damage/loss is caused. All entries submitted are subject to this condition. Creative Flow Art Center has an excellent record in the care and handling of works of art. We suggest that artists insure work privately if they feel the need for such protection.

Permissions:

• It is FREE to apply for the Call for Exhibition. If an artist is offered a gallery show at Creative Flow Art Center, a non-refundable $50 gallery deposit AND their signed gallery contract is due by 11:59 pm on November 6th, 2026.
• Creative Flow Art Center will NOT accept shipped artwork or ship artwork back to participating artist(s); all artworks must be dropped off and picked up in-person.
• If you are offered a gallery show, and the work submitted on this application differs greatly from the work that will appear in your show, we have the right to find another artist to exhibit in your place.
• You may NOT remove your artwork from the gallery earlier than the designated pick-up time.
• If contributing artists exceed expectations, the Creative Flow Art Center reserves the right to close submission acceptance early.

About Creative Flow Art Center

Creative Flow Art Center in Fridley is the sister location of Rumriver Art Center in Anoka.  Its mission is to bring people of all ages and abilities together to create a strong and inclusive art community. CFAC makes it easy and comfortable for people to be creative. The space, tools, and instruction nurture an adaptive environment.

Creative Flow Art Center continuously strives to create an environment where artists can immerse themselves in the art making process; encouraging growth, self-discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the power of art.

Holiday Market

The Creative Flow Art Center Holiday Art Market is open from Saturday, November 14th to Saturday, December 19th, 2026.

• Friday, October 9th, by 11:59 pm: Deadline to submit application.
• Friday, October 16th, by 11:59 pm: All artists are notified of their acceptance/denial.
• Tuesday, November 10th, between 12 pm and 7 pm: Artwork must be dropped off at Creative Flow Art Center (110 77^th Way NE, Fridley MN 55432).
• Saturday, November 14th: Holiday Art Market Opens.
• Saturday, December 19th: Holiday Art Market Closes.
• Tuesday, December 29th, between 12pm and 7pm Artists must pick up their artwork at Creative Flow Art Center.

Terms and Conditions

• All items MUST BE FOR SALE.
• Creative Flow Art Center will receive a 35% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the market. All sales are final.
  • Checks will be written within 14 days after the Holiday Market closes.
• All artwork intended to be displayed on a wall needs to be wired for hanging.
• All items for sale in the Holiday Market need to be clearly labeled and follow our required  labelling format (detailed information provided below).
• All items must be listed on the ‘List of Artworks’. This form will be provided via email to accepted artists.
  • The ‘List of Artworks’ must be completed and returned to Creative Flow Art Center before OR at the time of dropping off artwork.
• All items MUST be dropped off at the Creative Flow Art Center on Tuesday, November 10th between 12 pm and 7 pm.
  • All artworks must be dropped off AND picked up in-person. We do not accept artwork that is mailed, nor mail artwork back to artists.
• Artists must pick up their artwork at Creative Flow Art Center on Tuesday, December 29th, between 12 pm and 7 pm.
• Artists can not remove their artwork from Creative Flow Art Center earlier than 12 pm on Tuesday, December 29th.
• Artwork that has been unclaimed after 2 weeks will become property of the Creative Flow Art Center. Being added to our collection of artworks or sold as part of a fundraiser for the organization.
• Any display furniture provided to Creative Flow Art Center by the artist needs to be clearly labeled with the artist’s name.
• Reproduction of Images for Publicity – Permission is granted to the Creative Flow Art Center for reproduction of artwork for advertising purposes. Entry into the Creative Flow Art Center Holiday Market constitutes agreement with this rule. Images of artwork may be used for flyers, press releases, posters, on Creative Flow’s website, social media, etc.

If your application is accepted, you will need to label every piece that you will be selling. You will also receive a “List of Artworks” form via email. You will need to complete this list in the provided format. That is the only format that will be accepted by Rumriver Art Center. You MUST label all pieces before dropping them off. You MUST bring the completed List of Artwork Form upon drop-off on November 10th OR send a completed digital version to [email protected]. Ensure the labels on your pieces match your List of Artworks.

All items in Creative Flow Art Center’s Holiday Market must be labeled as follows:

Price Sticker/Label (each piece will have a unique label)

The labels must contain the following info:

1. Artist Full Name/First Initial and Full Last Name
2. Unique Item #
3. Price
